This story is nearly a thousand years old and dates to the founding of Galbar. It is told that the humans of Galbar actually ruled the entirety of the world until the elves just up and appeared one day. Whole towns popped up as if from the ground where there was none before. Fully mature vineyards, requiring at least seven years of careful tending under normal circumstances, suddenly covered hillsides. The ever-adaptable humans accepted the Elves at first, but there was a falling out. Exactly what happened varies from story to story, but in the end the Elves carved out half the world for their own, founding their own domain. This Elven domain became Lusem, though Lusem has lost much of the unity and identity that characterized its founders.
